Sat., April 22nd, 11am-12pm, Shelter Community Room: Interested in Volunteering with Pope Memorial Humane Society? Our next Volunteer Orientation is on Saturday April 22nd at 11am in the Shelter Community Room. To attend this overview, just RSVP with our Volunteer Coordinator Kelly Gould at firstname.lastname@example.org or 594-2200.
Volunteers are an integral part of life here at the shelter. With 80-100 cats and 20 or so dogs in house any given day of the week, there is a tremendous amount of work that goes into keeping everyone happy, healthy, and well cared for... There are many rewards to what sounds like a daunting task. Wagging tails, purring cuddles, laughter with friends, and getting to see animals go to their new happy homes. Volunteers help us to clean kennels, clean litter boxes/cat condos, socialize pets, walk dogs, wash windows, help with events, and anything else that needs doing.
We couldn't do it all without the help of our amazing volunteers! We hope to have you join the team and help us to help animals in need.
