Directions:
The Pope Memorial Humane Society of Knox County is located at 17 Buttermilk Lane (formerly 65 Dexter St. ext.) off Route 1 in Thomaston.
Directions from the South (Bath, Wiscasset, Portland etc.): Take Route 1 through Thomaston past the cement plant and Buttermilk Lane. Just before Rockland Ford on your right is Dexter Street Ext. Turn Right on Dexter Street Ext. At stop sign turn right , the Shelter is on the right hand side of the road.
Directions from the North (Camden, Belfast, etc.):
Take Route 1 through Rockland and across the Thomaston Line. Just after Rockland Ford on your left is Dexter Street Ext. Turn left on Dexter Street Ext. At stop sign turn right , the Shelter is on the right hand side of the road.
Directions from the West (I95, Augusta):
Take Route 17 in Augusta to Route 1 in Rockland. Follow directions from the North above.
