Sprite can usually be found lying atop the lobby counter, ready to greet you. He will give you a nudge hello and then repay your attention with a swat. He can be very charming when he wants to be however, Sprite also has a feisty side, what we like to call catitude. But you can't really blame him; he has been waiting for a home for nearly a year. The stress of living in a shelter environment is harder on some than others. In Sprite's case, it puts him a little on edge.

Recently, Sprite was treated to some much deserved rest and relaxation away from the chaotic shelter environment with a solo stay in the shelter's penthouse suite a.k.a the director's office. What a transformation! Sprite's true, and much more loving nature, revealed itself. He became relaxed and affectionate and down right friendly. Gone was the twitchy tail replaced by kisses and rubs providing a glimpse into the companion cat he could become if given a loving home that he doesn't have to share with dozens of other cats.
